Yeah the semifinal loss was disappointing but the fact is that the French players were considerably better ranked compared to ours(WR4, WR10,WR18 vs WR19,WR30,WR34). Even the better ranked Japanese players weren't able to win a single set against the French in the Quarter finals, though the matches were more competitive. This has been a good year till now for the Indian badminton and such negativity really is unwarranted.

I have myself been shamed multiple times by my peers for insisting on following rules and regulations. I refuse to board a boat without a life jacket and get labelled a paranoid. I buy platform ticket at the railway station and people call me "Harishchandra ki aulad". I pick up litter from public spaces and they say that I am a weirdo. Not only does the system needs a complete overhaul but the mindset of the people as well. And I am not victim blaming or something. Even the officials and administrators are in the end people and their behavior and mindset will be more or less similar to the that of the general public.
