Judging criteria (discussion)
Some of the entrants have done such a good job with camouflaging themselves (!), that their outfits aren't as visible.
I LOVE it as reddit posts where we can swipe through the various picture and I wouldn't change a thing, but I'm having a harder time creating the Google poll. Do you think I should:
link the first picture of ppls posts, like I normally do
link a secondary picture where the outfit is more visible, but we can't see the creative vision of the camouflage
edit ppls submissions so we can see both, side by side. This is what I'm leaning towards, but I worry ppl may not like the way I modify their pics.
something else I haven't thought of.

May’s contest starts today! We will be accepting submissions until May 14 and then voting will be held starting May 15th.
Details about this month’s contest
This month's theme is "See you in Disguise 🥸", where we will camouflage ourselves amongst the creatures, plants, and elements in the realm of sky! Here are some examples from the mods 😁
(Doug going undercover as an unlit sky kid to see what the other unlit ones are up to)
(One of these kids is not like the others)
(No, you’re not just imagining it, the darkness tree has grown some extra branches!)
(Pri in disguise as a previously undiscovered winged light in Prairie Peaks.)
NOTE: The first image in your post will be the one that gets voted on, so craft your image carefully!
If your sky kid submission is wearing or using ANY IAPs, cosmetics, or spells that are OLDER than 1 year, then you must flair your post as a 'Veteran'.
If your sky kid is ONLY wearing cosmetics available within the last year, you must flair your post as a 'Moth'.
See this post for the full list of Moth Cosmetics. Anything not listed is therefore a Veteran Cosmetic
There will be 1 winner per category and the winners will get $25 USD worth of IAPs.
Details about the new selection process
The Winners will be chosen based on a weighted score from a panel of judges and the amount of poll votes. The judges' scores will account for 70% of an entry's total score and general votes will count for the remaining 30%.
Panel Judges will be selected from a pool of the past year's winners. Judges will score each entry on a scale of 1 to 5 for the following criteria:
- Following the contest theme and rules
- Outfit uniqueness
- Outfit balance/colour scheme
- Photo composition (background, pose, artistry [ignore image resolution/quality])
- Overall impression of the entry
General voting will remain the same.
