Greetings! (and some changes)
Greetings fellow drivers, riders, strategists, engineers, and photographers!
A few weeks ago, Reddit Admins asked everyone in here if they'd like to be a moderator for this sub. Well, I was the only one to respond. I help moderate some other subreddits, so I thought why not. Without an active moderator, this sub can be banned by reddit, and we don't want that.
That being said, I did make some updates and changes.
###Rules
I changed up some of the rules. Most notably, I changed Rule 1 to only allow Gran Turismo 1, Gran Turismo 2, Gran Tursimo 3, Gran Turismo 4, Tourist Trophy, Gran Turismo PSP, and Spec II. This is to bring the disscussion around the "retro" Gran Turismo games. General "modern" Gran Turismo discussion can be had in r/granturismo
This is not a hard and fast rule, exceptions can be made, and we're not going to ban you right out of the gate. Asking for help in a License Test in Gran Turismo 5 on the PS3 will be removed, but news on a new version of Gran Turismo would be allowed.
I also codified an unwritten rule, No Piracy Talk. Emulation is an important part to keeping these games alive. However, Sony and Polyphony still hold the rights to the Gran Turismo IP, and don't take kindly to people pirating their games. Linking to sites containing ISO's, BIN/CUE's, ROMs, etc.. or telling people where to get those files is not allowed. Talking about how to back up your physical copies, how to run an already obtained ISO, patching an already obtained ISO, etc.. is still allowed.
###Posting
All users can now set their own custom user flairs. Got a favorite car, favorite track, favorite meme? Go ahead, use it as a flair.
I've also revamped the post flairs. They are still a work in progress, and are not required to post, but they are there to help organize the posts here.
You can now comment with pictures, and GIFs. Go wild.
###Karma and Account Age Requirements
In order to cut down on spam and bots, we now have a karma and account age requirement to post (not comment). You must have a combined post/comment karma of at least 300 and an account age of 28 days to post. If you do not meet these requirements your posts will have to approved, they won't be just deleted.
