I didn't notice live, but the halo around Robby's head seem like more than a coincidence. I don't really like reading symbolism into this show as it's not intended to be a puzzle box and it diminishes the human element (in my opinion), but this seems pretty obvious. It would also make sense in Catholic (and probably Orthodox) theology, i.e. God's Grace unexpected and unasked for, earned through suffering and good works.
