FOSS move from Sharepoint/Exchange/Office servers
Hi everyone,
I'm in a Windows environment and I am experimenting some selfhosted software to replace Sharepoint/Onedrive, Exchange and Office servers.
I have set up Mailcow, Nextcloud and Onlyoffice. I connected the Onlyoffice server to Nextcloud. Nextcloud is connected to Active Directory, and file storage is provided by our Windows file server (Nextcloud doesn't host files, it is only used for web access, no syncing with desktops). Mailcow's webmail (Sogo) is not used, we use mail clients on computers, and Nextcloud's mail extension for a webmail.
What I like in this configuration is this:
When a user has an account, he just have to log into Nextcloud, and automatically he has access to his personal and shared directories in the Webif, the same way he does on a PC, and he can access his mails directly on Nextcloud. And all of this without having to configure stuff.
But after doing some tests, users reported the Nextcloud mail client is annoying to use and not very efficient, Nextcloud interface is a bit slow and bloated, so I'm looking for other solutions which could be integrated like this.
Recently, I've seen Stalwart can be a good and lightwieght mail server, Bulwark a mail client to go with and which can include Collabora, but (i may be wrong) it's missing a product like Nextcloud to access files remotely and share some of them with third parties.
Do you know a good and free solution like a web access to files, with (i imagine) a mail tab and office integration which could work with Active directory users and Windows file server? I'm looking for something where users doesn't have to configure anything like with our MS or Nextcloud system.
Thank you much :)
