Hermès Birkin Guide: Togo vs Epsom + How to QC Like a Pro 👜

Hermès Birkin Guide: Togo vs Epsom + How to QC Like a Pro 👜

If you’re planning to get a Birkin, one of the first decisions you’ll face is choosing between Togo and Epsom leather.

Here’s a simple breakdown to help you decide:

Togo Leather (Soft & Relaxed)

• Slightly textured, grainy feel

• Softer and more flexible

• Develops a natural “slouch” over time

• More forgiving (minor flaws are less visible)

Best for: Everyday use, relaxed luxury look

Downside:

• Doesn’t hold a rigid shape

• Can lose structure with time

---

Epsom Leather (Structured & Polished)

• Fine, pressed texture

• Lightweight but firm

• Holds shape perfectly

• Looks clean and sharp

Best for: Formal look, structured aesthetic

Downside:

• Scratches can be more visible

• Less “natural” feel compared to Togo

---

Now the most important part —

How to get the RIGHT piece (this is where most people go wrong):

Before shipping, always ask for PSP (Pre-Shipment Pictures).

Here’s what you should check:

• Stitching — even, clean, no loose threads

• Shape — symmetrical, not tilted

• Handle placement — aligned properly

• Hardware — correct color (PHW/GHW), clean finishing

• Logo stamping — centered, not too deep/light

• Overall proportions — nothing looks “off”

---

What to ask your supplier (don’t skip this):

• Clear front, back, side angles

• Close-up of stitching

• Hardware (lock, keys, engraving)

• Logo stamp close-up

• Inside lining and corners

• Natural lighting photos (very important)

Optional but smart:

Ask for a short video — it helps you see real texture and structure.

---

Pro tip:

Don’t rush.

A good supplier will always be okay with you checking details.

If something feels off — RL (reject) and ask for another piece.

Your goal is simple:

Not just to buy a bag — but to get the RIGHT one.

---

If you’re confused between options, take your time, compare properly, and choose what fits your style best.

The difference between a “good” bag and a “great” one is always in the details 🤍

QC Help Needed – Hermès Birkin 👜

Hi everyone 🤍

I recently received PSPs for this Birkin 25 (Togo leather, PHW) and wanted to get some honest feedback before finalising.

I’ve gone through the photos myself and overall it looks quite good, but I’d really appreciate some extra experienced eyes here to make sure everything checks out properly.

Mainly looking for thoughts on:

• Stitching & craftsmanship

• Shape and structure

• Hardware details

Any honest opinion (good or bad) would really help me decide 🙏

Thank you in advance!

⚠️ Delivery Delay ≠ Scam (From 4 Years of Experience)

I’ve been in the replica buying space for around 4 years now, and one thing I’ve learned the hard way is this:

Even the best and most reliable suppliers can have delays — and that’s completely normal.

Honestly, I didn’t always have a smooth experience.

At the start, I faced a lot of issues:

• Poor quality bags

• Parcels not arriving at all

• Wasting money on unreliable sellers

But over time, after a lot of trial and error, I finally found 2–3 reliable suppliers that I personally trust.

🧵 Why delays happen (even with good sellers):

• Factory Inspection:

Good bags go through proper quality checks before shipping — this takes time but ensures better quality.

• Pre-shipping Videos/Pics:

Trusted sellers send confirmation before dispatch so you know exactly what you're getting.

• Shipping & Customs Delays:

These are very common and mostly out of the seller’s control.

💡 My honest take:

Now, even if my suppliers delay 2–4 days, I don’t stress.

Because:

• I always receive better quality than expected

• My parcel actually arrives safely

And that’s what really matters.

🚨 When should you worry?

• If you get poor quality

• OR you don’t receive anything at all

Otherwise, delays are just part of the process.

🤝 Final Note:

If anyone is genuinely looking for reliable suppliers, you can reach out.

I know this topic isn’t always openly discussed, but everything I’ve shared here is based on real experience.

👜 Birkin 25 vs 30 which one do you actually find yourself using more?

I’ve been thinking about Birkin sizes lately and can’t decide between the 25 and 30.

The 25 looks super clean and elegant, but it feels more like a “carry light” kind of bag. On the other hand, the 30 seems way more practical for everyday use while still keeping that classic Birkin look.

I’ve seen people say the 25 is more of a statement piece, while the 30 is the most usable size.

For those who own or have tried both — which one do you actually find yourself using more?

Also, if anyone has experience with a reliable supplier, I’d really appreciate any recommendations or advice — feel free to DM me. Thanks!
