Someone tried to burglarize my property today. Need some input on trail cameras.

So as the title states, someone tried to burglarize my property today. We have a camera that caught them on video but they noticed it and took it with them. We immediately called the police then drove up there. as we were driving to the land we had to keep the live feed up so we weren’t able to download the video with them on it, however we were able to screenshot the live feed and get identifiable information. We found them, the police got the camera back but the culprit took the SD card out and it is likely destroyed. The cops for some reason didn’t think it would be enough to arrest them on any meaningful charges, even though I can think of theft and damage of property(camera), attempted burglary (which we can’t prove without the sd cards) and trespassing(which is the most obvious because he had to trespass to be able to steal the camera). Anyways. After this incident we want more cameras. We will likely put up more 360 degree live feed cellular cameras and also install them inside our shipping containers. But we also want trail cameras that aren’t as obvious and will be able to identify a license plate from 40 feet. Ideally these cameras could have good enough picture resolution to identify faces, markings, and license plates. I know there are some that have live feed and some that just have sd cards. I’ll take recommendations on both as well as any other security measures we could install while we are not currently living on the land. Thanks!
