Losing weight - advice wanted
Hi everyone,
I was diagnosed with GD recently and have been trying my best to hit all of the macro recommendations - but I’ll admit I have had trouble reaching the carb goals because they give me so much anxiety and I’m still learning this diet. I have lost about 4 pounds in the past 1.5 weeks. I started at a normal bmi and have now gained 11 pounds for the whole pregnancy (I’m 28 weeks). I told the nurse this yesterday and her reply was to eat more carbs - which I am trying to do (I’m at about 130g per day which I know isn’t enough but I don’t know what else to add in, I’m eating bread and rice and rice cakes - so many rice cakes - and a ton of fat). I also am walking way more than I was so know I need to increase my calorie intake.
But I’m just feeling defeated. Has anyone been through this and have some tips or tricks that worked? Handheld quick carb blasts that were paired with something to help?
