First Half Marathon Completed!

I’ve been running for about a year now, usually twice or thrice-a-week schedule. For practice, I also join my local Parkrun when I can make it. Completed a couple of 10Ks, and I decided to take the plunge. I signed up for this half marathon during the Easter break

The first 8-10K felt great! I felt like I was cruising. In my excitement, didn't realize I was going faster than I'm usually used to! Hit a wall around the 13–14K mark. Nutrition, turns out is very important. Managed to find a something for that final 6K. It wasn't pretty nor fast, but atleast I avoided a DNF. Finished my race at 2:25:52

Not really thrilled with my finishing time. It’s a bit slower than I had expected for during my training runs. But, I'll take it as this finish was still better than a DNF.

Lot of learnings, regarding breath control, nutrition and planning the run (especially for distances > 10K). Looking forward for the next time to see how I can shave some time off this personal best!
