translating non-greek prose into ancient greek - is it a thing?

In some textbooks like Athenaze there are (very small) exercises to translate English (or Italian?) into AG.

I'm curious if additional larger translation exercises (on the order of a book chapter or short story) are commonly assigned in upper level Classics program courses, or if that would be considered unusual.

Similarly, when I've studied modern languages I've often had to write reflections or even full papers in the target language. Is this something that's done much for Ancient Greek? Are there any examples anyone would be willing to share?

▲ 5 r/Panera

I went in to pick up some gift cards for gifts a few days ago. I asked about the promo going on right now ($10 extra per $50 on gift cards purchased) and they said that I'd need to contact corporate to have that added to my mypanera account.

(I'd skipped using my code at the register because I've added orders with my receipt code in the past and there was a huge line behind me.) I made sure to ask for the receipt though.

When I got home I looked at my receipt and they'd given me the merchant copy rather than the customer copy so it didn't have the code. I tried calling support to see if I could get my purchase added in mypanera. Nope, they can't do that without the code. But they'll forward over my info to the gift cards people.

Questions:

- does it actually make sense to have to get the panera gift card promotion amount from corporate? that seems bizarre (and the cashier seemed a little bit inexperienced / unsure when I asked)

- is there any hope I'll actually get the extra $ on the gift cards at this point? or am I just fucked lol
