Upgrade day 🎉
Bought the T598 in January. TH8-A shifter, raceline 3 pedals.. Loved it, didn’t think I’d need an upgrade. Then came the disconnects, and now I doesn’t even turn on. Did my research and thought I needed a power cable so I reached out to Thrustmaster, who told me I’d need to send my unit to France so have it repaired which would take weeks. I use this thing daily so I figured that doesn’t work for me, I’m just gonna go buy another one while I wait for the repair. Noticed this G pro was on sale for 999 and decided well, let’s just see what the hype is about it’s getting retuned anyway.. Well… it’s not getting returned lol. Difference is night and day. Makes that T598 feel like a child’s toy. Only thing I miss on there is the shifters, they just feel more satisfying to pull. The gear jolt was also nice. Aside from that, the quality feels so much better on the Logitech side. Load cell pedal is amazing. Wheel selection feels limited but I don’t think I need all the fancy wheels other brands offer. Anything I should look out for? Preventative maintenance maybe? I didn’t know about the T598 issues until it happened.
