Need a new stock for an old gun

The first real gun was a Savage 24. My dad gave it to me for my 12th birthday. To this day it's still one of my most cherished possessions.

Last year I had a buddy out for a pheasant hunt, and let him use it. After a good day of hunting I notice the top of the butt stock had broken off.

I've never had to replace a stock before, and would like it to look like the original, and I'm at a loss on where to start.

On a second note, there used to be a plastic button at the front of the trigger to break the barrel. That plastic broke in the 90's and I never found a replacement. It's possible to use the metal part and that's what I've been doing, but getting a replacement for that plastic bit would be amazing.

Thank you in advance for your help.

My Wrangler sounds like a haunted house. Help!

I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. About 6 months ago there was a slight clicking noise behind the glove compartment. I found out is was the vent actuator and had it replaced by a local mechanic. I've since been back 4 times to try to get the noise resolved with the new actuator, and at this point I don't think he's capable of figuring it out.

The noise has gotten so bad and so aggravating that I don't even want to drive the Jeep until it's fixed.

I live in a rural area, so taking it in isn't a small mission, so I was hoping someone might have enough experience to help me diagnose what exactly is going on before I take it to someone new.
