Has anyone seen these?

Has anyone seen these?

Hi! I found one of these Watchover Voodoo Doll keychains at a random pit stop driving to Halifax but I can’t remember where 😭my niece loves it and wants one of her own, but I literally found it in a gas station, in a town I never stop in because I had to pee.

We’ve checked back and forth on our various trips but I haven’t seen them since and the woman at the store said they’re super popular, so I can’t imagine they stopped selling them.

If anyone has seen these near them, I’d be so grateful if you let me know!

Thanks in advance!

Question about French seams

Hi! I’m working on McCall’s M8211 and I’m using French seams for the first time since I chose a sheer organza. I’ve figured out how to do the French seams in the lining here, but now I’m trying to attach the midriff to the bodice and I’m stuck.

McCall’s M8211, view B. It calls for bag lining and to slip-stitched midriff along the bottom and no skirt lining. The shell fabric has interfacing in the midriff, which I’m using white cotton poplin for since the shell fabric is a sheer organza.

Would I do a French seam to attach the bodice to the midriff as well? Or could I just straight stitch it for the lining and for the shell fabric and press the seams down behind the interfacing since it wouldn’t be sheer there?

All of the French seam tutorials I have watched only show how to do one seam, not how to attach multiple pieces, so I’m having trouble figuring out how to pin the pieces “wrong sides together”.

I think I’m overthinking it but I don’t know anybody who sews and I’ve watched a million videos that only explain the mechanics of the stitch and then end.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Has anyone been stopped by a compliance officer for smoking? I ask because I’m smoking at one of the designated smoking spots listed directly on the website, and a compliance officer told me I can’t smoke here. I told her that this is a designated smoke spot. She didn’t listen to me and was condescending albeit polite. I had to pull up the map and show her all while she continually berated me for smoking here. She said you can’t drink on the street, so “why would I be allowed to smoke my marijuana”? I answered: “because it is legal and there are designated smoking areas.” She was very condescending to me the entire time, while I was looking for the proof to show her I am literally following the law.

I also hate that this is the “designated smoking area” because it’s in the way and people walk here, but I’m literally following the law. Is it not their job to understand the law/by-laws whatever? I’ve been smoking here 2 years and have never been stopped before. I see people smoking all over the city every single day, but she stopped me directly at the smoke spot to scold me.

She left after I showed her the map, but this just feels like someone a little too overzealous and not entirely informed.
