I was trying to find a character that respects all forms of sentient life, yet they always had some blind spots. For example, Chopper still seems to eat dead animals (at least in live action) or Mink Tribe, which has no problem eating fish (when they themselves experienced discrimination based on species). Brook, who knows the price of death, also eats meat. I know that any pop culture is a product of an author's environment at the end of the day, but this seems like inconsistent character writing to me.

Although I haven't read the whole series yet, maybe some of you know characters who are consistent with their principle of respect for all sentient life?
