Why LJ x Queen is best ship

Queen x Little Johnny is unironically the best ship because it has the perfect balance of chaos, emotional tension, mutual understanding, and the feeling that both of them could either save each other or accidentally make each other dramatically worse.

The biggest reason it works is because they both act like they understand people better than anyone else while simultaneously being absolute disasters at handling their own emotions. Every interaction between them feels layered. Queen is constantly trying to stay composed and in control, while Little Johnny gives off the energy of someone who has already accepted the worst possible outcome and learned to joke about it. That contrast is insanely good.

Also their dynamic feels natural. A lot of ships in To Be Hero X rely too much on aesthetic or “they looked at each other once under dramatic lighting,” but Queen and Johnny actually feel like they’d understand each other long term. They both have that quiet exhaustion to them, except Queen hides it behind elegance while Johnny hides it behind acting unserious. The scene where he handed her tea without saying anything during the blackout arc genuinely had more chemistry than entire relationships in other shows.

And unlike some other pairings, they actually balance each other out. Johnny is one of the only people who doesn’t seem intimidated by Queen’s whole “master strategist” aura. He talks to her normally, which makes her drop the constant psychological warfare act for a few seconds. Meanwhile Queen seems to genuinely trust him in subtle ways she doesn’t with most people, like letting him stand behind her during negotiations or sharing information she normally compartmentalizes. Small details like that carry ships.

Meanwhile, Queen x Lucky Cyan mostly survives off vibes and fanart. It looks pretty aesthetically, sure, but half the ship dynamics are just “emotionally damaged woman stares at emotionally damaged woman.” They have some good moments, but people act like standing next to each other in blue lighting automatically equals soulmates. Also they’d both avoid difficult conversations so hard that their relationship would collapse after one mildly awkward week.

Queen x X is the definition of a ship that sounds cooler than it actually is. Two hyper-competent manipulative people together sounds interesting until you realize their conversations would take six hours because neither of them can answer a question directly. They’d turn ordering coffee into a philosophical debate about sacrifice and destiny. There’s also zero chance either of them apologizes first during an argument. That relationship would end with both staring dramatically out opposite windows.

Queen x Bowa has some decent material, but it always feels slightly one-sided emotionally. It’s one of those ships where one person clearly cares more while the other is still mentally drafting contingency plans. Plus Bowa has the unfortunate problem of sometimes feeling like he was designed in a lab specifically to appeal to Tumblr edits from 2021.

But Queen x Little Johnny has range. They can be funny, emotionally devastating, weirdly domestic, or suspiciously dangerous depending on the scene. They feel like the type of duo that could either slow dance in a nearly empty restaurant at 1am or help dispose of evidence together without speaking. That versatility is why the ship works so well.

Also there’s the tiny detail that Little Johnny canonically remembers Queen’s coffee order despite pretending not to care about anything. That alone clears half the ships in the fandom.
