ChromeOS vs ChromeOS Flex printer compatibility?

My friend has a Brother mfc-j825dw and I cannot get it to work with ChromeOSFlex. The Brother web site says that it does not work with ChromeOS so I guess we need to find a new printer.

Would the printer compatibility list for ChromeOS also apply to ChromeOS Flex?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a decent/inexpensive multifunction ChromeOS compatible printer that will be only used to print an occasional shipping label?

Right now I have two UAP-AC-LITE access points installed in my house. One upstairs and one in the basement. Honestly, I think one in my basement alone would be sufficient. I installed them about 6 years ago when I had cable internet and speeds around 100 Mbps. A couple of years ago I got fiber and now get speeds of 500 Mbps, but my wifi has not caught up in speed. I have ignored it as it really does not impact my usage much. A friend who installs network hardware helped me troubleshoot and we determined that I do not have gigabit POE injectors and that is the problem.

He recommended that I just go straight to upgrading to the U7 Pro and don't even mess with replacing the injectors and that I could get by with just one of them so I would be looking at $200 to get my wifi caught up with my wired speeds. (he said he has an injector for me)

So what might the logic be? Is it worth the $200 to replace something that technically is still working fine for me? Can I not just get a couple of gigabit injectors for much less than $200 and call it good?

My friend is working a big job right now across the country and I don't want to pester him much more about it.
