Going to Kjeragbolten with no car, need advice

Hey guys, I’m going to Norway in June (traveling from North America) to visit Kjeragbolten and Kjeragfossen. From what I understand, Kjeragfossen is just 500m away from Kjeragbolten, they are right next to each other, so I can do both in the same day.

Since I don’t have a car, it looks like I have two options, A) and B).

A) I take a Hotel in Stavanger, and take the bus that departs on weekends that takes you directly to Kjerag. The problem is you’re on a time limit to be able to take the bus back to Stavanger. I really, really don’t like that, but I could make it work I think if I have no choice.

B) I take a hotel in Lysebotn, and since Lysebotn is so close to Kjerag, I could literally walk there from my hotel if I wanted to. Very quick access. The problem, is I haven’t found any reliable option that will take me from the airport directly to Lysebotn as soon as. Iarrive.

What should I do here? Should I perhaps consider taking a hotel at Stavinger for the first two nights while I try to find a bus that will take me to Lysebotn? What is the best option?
