Tempo Adjust In Logic?
I need to gain a better understanding of tempo adjust and related topics in logic. Can someone help?
I had a rock-ish band recording and wanted to replace the drums with MIDI drums. I exported the stems to logic and replaced the drums with MIDI drums… worked beautifully… made some other edits.
So, the results are good. But I just don’t understand how this all works. For example, sometimes if I move some audio around… whoa! The tempo gets crazy and I am hitting undo ha… Logic is adjusting the tempo very slightly based on the live band and doing a good job… but what if I want to lock it all into one tempo…? It seems like Logic does not like that… maybe better to export pieces and put it in Ableton or something?
I guess I just do not understand what is truly going on even though, the results work so far
EDIT: just for clarification, in this particular instances the stems from the band playing came from another DAW
