Green Lady Strange Interaction
I went to the green lady on Yelm highway on St Patrick’s Day at 7pm and purchased 5 things. One of the things I purchased was 28 grams of Gary Peyton. The bud tender I was working with made a joke asking me for a nug and wrote his phone number on my receipt (which I didn’t notice at the time). I left the store, put my bag in the trunk of my car, and went about the rest of my evening. When I got home and retrieved the bag from my trunk, the Gary Peyton was gone. No where in my trunk. Disappeared. I called the green lady at 9:33 and spoke to the store manager who said she would review the store footage and ask the other employees if they noticed something left behind. She called me back at 10 after reviewing the footage and said she saw the Gary Peyton get put in my bag at 19:10. She assured me that I left with it, and it was very clear on the footage. I asked if I could see the footage and she said that it was against store policy. She again assured me that the item had been put in my bag. This did not sit well with me, as there is no where it could have gone. I didn’t open my trunk between the store and my home. Because this item was over $100 and I tipped the bud tender generously, I decided to email the store owner. I asked if he would please let me see the footage with my own eyes so I could be at peace. The store owner called me and said he personally reviewed the footage and the Gary Peyton was left on the counter and not put in my bag. When I went back the next day to pick up my product it was in a bag waiting for me and someone had written “left” on the bag like this was somehow my fault. Was this a failed internal theft? If it wasn’t theft how did this not trigger some sort of protocol within the store? How did one person see the item being put in my bag, and another see it on the counter. Also these are highly regulated goods, so where was my Gary Peyton this whole time?? The store manager was not at all concerned and brushed me off making me feel crazy. I knew I wasn’t wrong. Thoughts?
