Orchid Bark in my Mix

So I've just learned about Semi-Hydro and quickly repotted my newly bought Alocasia and Calathea and a month in its thriving! However, I just put them in an orchid pot with a wick through the bottom, some PON, Leca and a few bits of orchid bark, especially at the bottom because I wanted to avoid the PON falling through the holes. My question is, will the Orchid Bark cause rotting in the near future or would I be fine repotting it in a better mix in a year or two? I would also switch to an actual semi hydro pot with an indicator about the water level. So far most of the moisture gets sucked in by the wick and it's not constantly sitting in water.
