[FR resource — feedback wanted] Free sleep apnea info site for French-speaking patients
Hey r/SleepApnea,
Quick context: I'm a sleep technologist (10+ years in a hospital sleep lab in Belgium) and I noticed there's tons of solid English content out there (this sub, ApneaBoard, OSCAR community...), but very little quality info in French.
So I built associationapnee.be on my own time. It's a free, ad-free, no-tracking info hub aimed at French-speaking patients (Belgium-focused for the regulatory part, but most content is universal).
What's on it (also useful in English-speaking workflow):
- 3 validated screening tests (STOP-BANG, Epworth, Berlin) with free PDF export to bring to the doctor
- A pressure estimator (Hoffstein formula)
- A guide to read your CPAP report (IAH, leaks, pressure)
- A 55-term medical glossary (FR)
- All claims fact-checked against peer-reviewed sources (JAMA, NEJM, JACC, Chest, ERJ)
If you have French-speaking friends or family struggling with sleep apnea, this might help them. Especially because the information landscape in French is fragmented and often outdated.
