Go Fresh seems to be failing badly

I'm Asian and live a few blocks from Go Fresh, it's the closest grocery store to me, but Trader Joe's, Wegman's and Giant are all within walking distance.

When they announced that Go Fresh was opening, I was super excited that there would be an Asian grocery store within walking distance to me, and I could stop by to buy just enough fresh produce every day to make for dinner or what have you, or get hot pot ingredients to do impromptu hot pot. I was also curious what the restaurants there would be.

When I walk in, it's incredibly depressing. The workers always greatly outnumber the customers. They have a huge selection of produce, but I suspect they are going to have to constantly throw it away because it's not being bought at rates where it won't spoil. I think at this point, closing is an inevitability, which is sad.

I'm kind of disappointed that it had to be this way. The prices are not worse than at other Chinese groceries like Great Wall, but by how the Chinese populations are clustered around here, its probably easier and more convenient to go to Great Wall. The point is, they can't depend fully on a Chinese clientele to survive. They still don't have any of the restaurants up even now.

One thing that really bugged my wife, who is vegetarian, is that they have a bunch of beta fish in tiny enclosures, with a bunch of them always left dead and floating there. You can see them right as you come into the entrance. Who goes to a grocery store to buy pet fish? It's gotten to the point that she doesn't want to go into the store anymore. We actually complained about this to the store, and that others on reddit have complained, and that it was bad for business. For a bit, I thought they listened and they pulled them, but most recently, they seemed to have *expanded* them with even more on the shelves. You know where I don't have to look at sad dead fish as soon as I walk into the store? The five other grocery stores I can walk to from Twinbrook.

Got put under moderation review for suggesting that a rear naked choke would be a safe way to handle a dog who refuses to let go of a kid.

In a parent subreddit, people were talking about dogs attacking children, by clamping down on them between their jaws. Someone suggested that if this ever happened they should put some sort of make shift leash on the dog to render it unconscious. I said this probably wouldn't work, and even if it did, it would take minutes, whereas a RNC would take seconds.

Someone said that would mean exposing your head to the dog's jaws. I responded that no, the dog's jaws already have your child, and is refusing to let go, and you are behind the dog. I then got flagged for moderation review.

This really makes me shake my head...
