I got notified recently that Turkish Airlines canceled one of my flights in September due to force majeure. Seems a long way out to claim that? Alternative connections offered right now are pretty poor, with basically double the travel time and stopovers. Do I have any recourse, besides changing to one of these long 2-3 stop routes right now? Or is it likely TA will bring back the route and I can change to a more reasonable connection in a few weeks/months?

I’m theorizing somehow this is an attempt to get cancellations and then rebookings at higher fares due to current fuel prices.
