14/24 Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn

5⭐️

Psychologically disturbing thriller at its finest!

It is dark, the characters are raw, well written and flawed, which makes it more interesting to me.

I have read unfavorable reviews about this one but I was positively surprised and it turned out my favorite so far. Kira (fmc) has wit, a nuanced personality that makes it a more interesting character than Hazel (book 2) for example. She has character growth and the banter is nice. Of course the lovely Christmas setting also helped, as I am a sucker for all things christmas.

All that being said, I need a palate cleanser before going on with the series. Too sweet.

Maybe a thriller or whatever 😆

Book one of the series was definitely better but I just have to go on to the next one.

What is wrong with me? 🫠

The premise was good and even though there was a lot of spice, the female main character seemed like a dumb teenager and not 30yo.

It Kind of pissed me off the fact that the cover and all gave fall vibes and the story happened in the summer? Not what I was expecting.
