When a drug dealer gets arrested, what happens to the customer's numbers on their phone?
When I was at university, I was something of a drug enthusiast and would regularly purchase various goods for personal use. It would always be small amounts clearly for this purpose, such as a 3.5 of weed or a gram or 2 of ket.
As is nature, sometimes the local merchants would stop replying to messages, presumably having been apprehended. I would sometimes get a response to a query asking what I wanted, but when I stated whatever small amount I was after they would say they weren't around. I would assume this was in fact the police hoping I would ask for a large amount.
I'm just wondering what gets done with the phone numbers of their customers who are just buying for personal use? Do they go on a database or just get ignored? Could this come back to haunt me at any point?
I have to ask please do not lecture me about drugs being bad or illegal, I am well aware. This time in my life was years ago, yes I did many drugs as a student like many, many people who turned out to be productive members of society have also done.
