This Saturday’s hopfully difficult to rhyme word is kangaroo.
Do not chase the quick kangaroo of attention, bounding past in spectacle and dust, dazzling for a moment before disappearing beyond the horizon. Seek instead the kangaroo of admiration that approaches slowly, like a great old roo emerging from the tall grass at dusk. Applause is easy and quickly forgotten, but true regard, like earning the trust of a wild kangaroo, comes only through patience, steadiness, and quiet respect. And when it comes, it does not vanish—it remains beside you: watchful, enduring, and strong.
