Why would they stay?

Why would they stay?

Ugh Emily in this episode made me so angry. She stole the last night Lorelai and Rory had in Stars Hollow together before college. Sure, they had a redo (kinda) when Lorelai slept over the first night at Yale, but still.

I was not amused when Lorelai started laughing! I really needed Emily to be chewed out more for this behavior and manipulation. I did not think she deserved to get what she wanted! Forcing them to watch her ridiculous ballroom tapes when they deserved to have a movie marathon!

They made it sweet, but it could have been a real “you aren’t going to take this from me” moment between Emily and Lorelai. Emily usually gets her way when she oversteps Lorelai’s boundaries with Rory, and it’s very annoying.

Hear me out for this? So, we all remember when Edward disabled Bella’s truck to keep her from visiting Jacob on the Rez, right?

Jacob tried to do something like this as well. I’m not positive if this happens at the end of New Moon, or at the beginning of Eclipse, but Jacob parked Bella’s motorcycle in front of her house, in hopes that Charlie would ground her and ban her from seeing Edward.

Both Edward and Jacob are toxic, controlling, supernatural idiot’s. In no world is it okay for them to keep Bella from going anywhere or doing anything.

However, can we pretend that it is? Just for this argument. Be a toxic man in a romance novel with me.

Jacob (from what I remember) has no idea what happened on Bella’s birthday. He knows that Bella was attacked by James, and that Edward saved her. But he doesn’t know that Jasper lost control. He just knows that Edward is capable of saving Bella when needed. All of the Cullens were.

Edward know’s that the wolves have no control. Sam and Emily are the perfect example, Sam imprinted on Emily and was still able to lose control of himself in her presence and hurt her. Jacob didn’t imprint on Bella, and he becomes angry with her and her feelings on a regular basis. I wouldn’t trust Bella around Jacob either.

The Cullen’s have showed the tribe that they were capable of living in peace with humans. For years. The hunted animals, and protected Bella when she needed it. They invited her into their home, and spent regular family time with her.

In my honest opinion, Jacob had more reason to believe in the Cullens control, than Edward had to believe in the wolves.

I become really irritated while reading about pregnancy Bella at the beginning. I’m not sure if that’s because it’s in Jacob’s POV so it’s more harsh writing about her.. but her almost aloof attitude irks me.

The denial of her situation, the belief that Carlisle will just be able to transform her immediately after birth. How she’s just speaking to Renesmee as a him, because she was having her baby Edward dreams and convinced she was a boy. (Literally nothing wrong with this, but it irks me she was just thinking of a mini Edward the entire time and that was her driving thought for keeping the child)

Everyone, besides Rosalie, was suffering during this entire ordeal. Edward was blaming himself, Jacob was angry about everything, Bella was being eaten alive basically, Carlisle couldn’t find answers, Alice couldn’t see the future, none of them could feed regularly, Esme was watching her children fight and unhappy, and Jasper has to feel everyone’s negative, hopeless feelings.

This episode just makes me sad the longer i look at the situation. It use to make me really happy.

It’s how little thought or care Lorelai had for her parents reunion, how her only focus was getting Emily out of her house when Emily was obviously stressing about her renewal in the morning. How little she wanted to try and make it special for her mom.

Lorelai talks about how her parents never cared about what she wanted, but never how she also didn’t care about what they wanted either. She never had genuine interest in their lives, and she writes them off the same way they do with her when they enjoy or do something Lorelai doesn’t like.

At Lorelai’s bachelorette with Max, Emily talked about how excited she was to wear her wedding dress. How she tried it on, every single night the week before. How she knew it was the dress she was meant to marry Richard in. It was so sweet, that it made everyone go and call their partners.

We could have had more scenes like that, if the night was taken as seriously as it should have been. Lorelai barely even interacted with Emily, and it was sad because it was the entire reason Emily was there. Emily didn’t go over to Lorelai’s expecting a party, she expected to spend the night with Lorelai and Rory for her hen night. A night that Emily most likely didn’t ask Lorelai for, because she knew Lorelai wouldn’t care for it.

I don’t know this night was just so sad when you take a deeper look. Lorelai throwing together the make-shift bachelorette, without any of Emily’s friends. Lorelai deliberately getting Emily more and more drunk to make a fool of herself. Then trying to sabotage her seating arrangements?? Come on, Lorelai. Emily genuinely cared for Lorelai’s bachelorette, for crying out loud she sat alone in a bar for an hour. A bar she would NEVER be at, just to support Lorelai.

“Learn how to drive in the snow!” They love to scream.

You drive slow in snow. You drive BELOW the speed limit in icy conditions, so why do some want to ride people’s ass, crying about it?

Here’s a friendly reminder, when snow is on the road people are going to be driving slow. There will be more accidents. If that is an issue for you, leave your house earlier. Everybody going slow on the road is doing the right thing. The people who think they are Billy Badass and don’t want to leave early and want to go over the speed limit are the fools.

You are risking people’s lives with your inability to have a patient bone in your body. If you can’t handle drivers in the winter, grow the fuck up. Or enjoy your slide into a snowbank after trying to pass someone going 60 on black ice.
