I've been cycling for years, mainly in center city Philadelphia amongst car traffic. I've had a concussion before and want to make sure I get a very good helmet. Recently I found out about the Virginia Tech helmet rankings.

My current helmet is the "Triple 8 Dual Certified MIPS" ranked 255th. I purchased the top rated one the "Pike Si Oblik" but am concerned with its shape. It seems the back of my head or sides above my ears are a bit exposed were I to fall and roll.

Should I consider a more traditional shape like the Hexr Miden RLS or others in the urban category when riding in the city?

What should I generally look for, again, caring a lot about concussion prevention?

I'm doing karaoke for my birthday tomorrow and am struggling to pick a song. I feel like a bunch are too heavy
