Chase Checking not allowing me to pay my bills (twice!)
I have never experienced something quite like this before! This month I paid rent through my Chase Checking account for the first time, and apparently Chase has no record of this payment. I paid as usual and got a receipt from my landlord's web portal, but the money never left my account. After calling my landlord, he said on his end it looked like I had issued a stop check order on the payment. After paying with my debit card, all was well.
Except this has happened again last week while trying to pay a utility bill! I called Chase and they simply have no record of my utility payment ever existing. Not even pending, just fully not there. This will be so much more of a headache to deal with than my landlord. So what gives? Why would these payments not be posting at all?
