Deluxe Style 2 - Dorothea
This is my first post, hello! I only started collecting Barbies in January of this year, and I'm having so much fun! I started by buying autistic Barbie and now I'm all in. Photographing, redressing, rebodying, posing, accessorising, hairstyling - i love it all. RIP my bank account. I'm trying to be strict and limit my collection as I have very limited storage space and want to be able to display them all at the same time. Dorothea (as I have named her) here is 4 out of 26 - one Barbie for each letter of the Latin alphabet.
Since I first saw her box outfit I had the feeling that she would like late 80s/early 90s style frills-and-bows fashion. I like to change the clothes on my dolls frequently, but I think she'll stay in this dress I found in Vinted for a while ❤️ I don't know the origins of her clothes or accessories, unfortunately. If you do, feel free to share.
All my dolls have names and lore. This girl is named Dorothea Flores, and she's from the Philippines. She's very outgoing, confident, and encouraging. She loves uplifting her friends, modelling, collecting over-the-top vintage fashions, and boba 🧋 she doesn't mind the extra attention her sparkly prosthesis brings her from people, because it means she gets the opportunity to explain to how to be more respectful towards amputees.
