My wife mentioned a few days ago that our car, parked in the garage made a faint running sound until she got the key, got in the car and pressed the start button, at which the noise stopped, I suspected the car had not properly shut down, but I have seen the one hour warning message when the car is on but the engine not active.

today it repeated and i got in with the key fob and pressed the start button and sound stopped. No messages on the dash, no error codes, dash screen remained dark when I pressed the start button briefly. the sound is like a very small motor running continuously.

Has anyone experienced this and found a cause?
