My players have really struggled to engage in systems which encourage lethality. They enjoy the game, but won't ever take anything seriously because they figure they're about to die. Now, Cyberpunk has a rep of being lethal, but if you are wearing armor it's newest version is nowhere as lethal as it pretends to be. It can happen but everything has to go catastrophically wrong. Is Mongoose 2e closer to Mork Borg levels of lethality or is it closer to CP Red?

Hey, I was recently bemoaning a derth of pulpy space opera games and this one was suggested to me as something to look into. As someone who is interested in getting the players to more actively contribute to the game. I thought this might be an interesting game to try. The issue is that we are anywhere from 5-7 players at a time in a campaign and a solo based system feels like it might not scale that well to higher player counts.
