I’ve been out of shooting for a long time. Any one see anything wrong with how I’m shooting here?

So I want to share this observation to see if anyone else agrees with it or if I’m just stupid.
In the past (for many years) I used a back tension release. Specifically the Carter 2 Moon.
I used a super old Hoyt Mystic (I think it’s from like the 80’s or 90’s.)
For the longest time I would occasionally struggle to get the release to actually fire. I would fail to get the angle quite right without mentally twisting my wrist to force the release but for the most part it worked as intended/expected.
More recently I was trying to get back into target archery after not doing it for a good few years (joined the army, had a kid, got married, etc. lots of life events kept me distracted from it.)
So given that my Hoyt mystic couldn’t meet my new draw length requirement (I got it was I was 16.)
I bought an Elite Verdict that someone was selling used.
I tried using my 2 moon like I always did but was struggling so incredibly badly to get it to release consistently.
On a whim I decided to Demo a Hoyt Concept X 40 while I was picking up arrows at a shop and found that I had literally no issues with the release or consistency.
I know the elite has a rock solid back wall, atleast the way this one was setup when I bought it. Once that bitch is at full draw, it won’t give a centimeter of extra draw/pull for me to pinch my shoulder blades together.
I don’t know about the Concept X, I don’t know anything about it other than it was setup with speed mods.
I have since started using a STAN Onnex resistance release and am finding that same consistency no problem.
I guess my question is, am I just stupid? Is this a confirmation bias on my part? Has anyone else found a similar experience?
Is such a solid back wall actually preferable?
At this point I’m considering if I would want a different type of setup or bow.
