Can someone pls help me understand what I should've said?

I'm currently in Seoul and was just at a cafe - My Korean listening and reading is pretty decent but speaking is slightly limited and I'm not the most confident person, so this interaction threw me off ㅠㅠ

I'd eaten a meal and drink at the cafe and had a dessert left which I was too full to eat, so I went back to the counter with the dessert and said

'이거 포장해도 되나요?'

and iirc the worker said '아 포장이요. 안 드시는 거예요?'

so I just said '네'.

but she then kept asking the same thing in different ways like i had said smth wrong.. so I was flustered and said '배불러요' and something like '포장해주면 제가 가져갈게요' to show i am going to eat it, just not now.

she seemed annoyed and the other worker said '안 드시는 것 같은데' and they both kinda laughed? lmao I felt like such an idiot but I have no idea what i was supposed to say, like in that context does 드시는 거 have a different meaning maybe?

the whole interaction just confused me because if I'm asking you to package it, I'm obviously not eating it now? so I don't know what the point of the question was. that's why I got flustered and didn't know what to say. kinda ruined my day bc they had such a weird attitude about it

does anyone understand if/what I could've said different? thanks 😔
