Hello all!
I'm planning my honeymoon for August 2026. We will be visiting Rome, checking out on Friday 8/28/26. My plan is to spend 4 nights in the Dolomites (8/28-9/1) prior to visiting Venice.
I understand that Rome is far from the Dolomites and am okay with a long travel day on Friday. When researching the area, I’m having trouble narrowing down which town is best to stay in (would love hotel recommendations as well). Looking for beautiful landscapes, casual hiking, good food, and places to walk around. We would like to say in the same spot for 4 nights, open to renting a car for day trips.
Would love to hear your recommendations while keeping in mind the travel from Rome (looking to take a train then drive/ take a bus to final location) and future plan of traveling to Venice on 9/1. Thank you!!
