Needed a stripping tray for SW fishing and didn’t want to spend the £50 they’re priced around normally. This has cost me £3 to make with recycled parts from a simms waist bag that had disintegrated and a new washing-up bowl (the £3). A small pouch on the front for leaders or similar with Velcro for a fly patch, a Velcro strip on the side for attaching whatever and a comfy waist band with small pockets on both sides. Just need to add some spikes, which I think I’ll use some thick strimmer cord for, as I have some already. Looks a bit messy but just needs the scrap glue wiping off and the buckle was always bust, but it clips in and holds fine.

2 Sandeel patterns I free styled with materials I had already and a clouser. I stayed natural for the Sandeels as I’ve had most luck when lure fishing with natural colours. All 3 were tied in a rather stressful rush this morning to try beat the flooding tide on my local beach but pretty happy with how they turned out, especially when all I’ve tied so far has been a few drys for brownies. First attempt at uv resin bodies too, cheap Amazon kit with a torch included seemed to do the job, especially when there’s a fair risk of losing them. I like how the uv resin makes the colours of the material rlly pop and shine. I think I’ll tie some more sparsely dressed clousers as I hear they can be more effective sometimes.
