It is just getting worse?

Hey guys, in January I went to a running specialist because of my knee pain, which was never very bad but was just getting on my nerves. He told me to strengthen my foot and sold me some ASICS shoes.

So I trained my foot like he said, but then I developed pain in my plantar fascia. I stopped the training and started physical therapy. The therapist massaged my calf and foot, but during the last session she pressed very aggressively on one spot, which caused swelling and made it hurt even more.

After that, I rested my foot again. I asked my doctor if it was okay to give it some rest because it felt highly inflamed. She said yes, so I rested it almost completely for about a week.

A week later, I slowly started walking again (3, 5, 10 minutes) and did my exercises very gently. But I think I overdid it again (walking 10 minutes with a heavy bag), and the pain came back.

I rested it again, used ibuprofen on my foot, and now I can only walk for 1–2 minutes before it starts hurting and my foot tells me to stop.

What am I doing wrong? Am I too impatient? Has anyone experienced something similar?
