Does anyone else have this issue with Gemini on their phone?

I try using "Hey Google" and it's unresponsive from locked screen. i go into Gemini settings, turn the toggle on to work from locked screen, and then it works! However the next day or resets and when i say the voice prompt it doesn't activate until I go into my settings and toggle work from locked screen...

any suggestions?
