IOS 6’s Keynote Remote controlling my M4 mac

I adore IOS 6 and want to make it my daily driver in the near future. For this reason i keep looking for ways to fill my every need.

I really like Keynote Remote on IOS 6, but the pairing changed with newer versions of Keynote.

I found that Keynote 6.0 (and possibly 6.1 and 6.2) from iWork 2013 was the last version to support connecting to IOS 6’s Keynote Remote.

Fortunately it’s also the first 64bit Keynote making it suitable to run on Apple Silicon macs under Rosetta.

Out of the box all the iWork 2013 apps crash immediately with a segmentation fault, but with a simple python script i was able to permanently fix and run them on Tahoe with my M4 MBP.

If anyone’s interested in this either for the Remote or the rest of older iWork let me know and i’ll post the script on github or something
