World Cup Watch Party - Calling All Soccer Fans!
The World Cup is almost upon us and I like many others can't afford a ticket. So I've been thinking about where I'll watch the USA games. I know we have our local bars that show games (Finn's, Cooter's, Etc.) but what if we could do a big watch party like you see on TV during the games? I put in an inquiry with champions square to see if we could do a big watch party there but the minimum rental fee for Champion's Square is $5k.
Would any other soccer fans be interested in putting on a big watch party somewhere? The fly? the new park by the river they opened up? somewhere else? I'd like it to be free and just have some food/beer trucks come by. I think it's a great opportunity for the soccer community to come together and enjoy the WC. Would be for USA games and maybe the final. I know the summer is hot but the first USA game is Friday June 12 at 8pm so it wont be too bad.
