Clarification on Rekordbox Unlock
Hi everybody, I know this is probably a common question but I'm a bit confused and would really appreciate if someone could spell the answer out for me clearly. I'm looking into learning to DJ as a hobby. I don't have any intention of making a career out of this, just DJing for house/block parties hopefully. I understand the FLX4 is a newer version of the 400, is there any difference in the type of rekordbox features they unlock? I understand the FLX4 is the only beginner being sold currently that unlocks performance mode but does that mean you can no longer unlock it from an older DDJ 400?
I'm looking to buy a used controller and from what I can tell on kijiji and FB marketplace nobody wants to sell the FLX4 for under $450cad even though I could buy a brandnew one for $450cad off amazon, the DDJ 400 I have been able to consistently find for 300-400 which is what I would prefer to spend anyways, would I really be trading major features in comparison to paying that extra $50 + tax for the FLX4? Maybe I'm being too cheap but from what I understand so far they're essentially the same performance and features wise.
