Not sure why they didnt reattach my bros meniscus.

My brother jumped while playing basketball and landed on a straight leg. His meniscus tore and wrapper around his knee cap, about 1/10th of his meniscus.

The doctor basically just trimmed that part off, and he's recovering now.

This makes no sense to me though. Without 1/10th of your meniscus there, surely you're bound to get injured more easily as well as not have the same level of performance when doing sports. Maybe I'm wrong here but im a little bit pissed off. I know for the shoulder they literally put anchors in there and sow it back together. Not sure why the doc couldnt do that as well.

How to get past screening for major companies if you have no experience?

By major companies I mean meta and so on. How do I get to the interview

5 years after graduation, have done roles in IT and now application support.

After realizing I can do leet code mediums without any difficulty and no prep, I think I could work my way up to being able to do hards.

The thing is though, how do I get an interview? Even absolute shit teir companies wont hire me as a software eng since I dont have experience.

I work for a amazing company that serves companies like netflix and such. My current role requires tons of problem solving skills, interacting with the dev team daily. But none of that matters when trying to pivot into software eng, it looks like.
