Hey y’all! I made this post in the Epiphone sub, but also wanted to see what I would get in here too, along with additional information!

I’ve been eyeing the Inspired by Gibson Custom line from Epiphone (specifically the ‘57 Goldtop). I found a used one for Guitar Center for about $999 + shipping/taxes. I then found a Gibson LP Tribute Goldtop for $1,199 + shipping/taxes.

So now, after my responses from original post, i’m wondering if I pull the trigger on the Gibson?

Some questions I have for Gibson players are:

- Is the nitro on the Tribute really that much better than Poly, even though the nitro is a thin layer?

- Is there a huge difference is USA built vs China built?

- The Tribute model has (what seems like from the pictures) no binding, is that important?

Hey y’all! I’ve been eyeing the 2025 IGC Epiphone’s for a minute now, and it’s got me thinking. I can find some Gibson LP Tributes in the same price range as new Epiphone prices. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the IGC line, but the other is a Gibson. Just curious on y’all’s opinions.
