I just bought a new Type S in March. The purchase came with a three year trial subscription to Hands-Free Cruise and a three month trial subscription to OnStar Connect Plus. Not wanting to pay the OnStar Connect Plus fee after three months, I canceled the plan, then when I got to my car and was driving later, I discovered the Hands-Free Cruise was not working. After many discussions so far with OnStar and Acura, they are saying that since I no longer have a data plan, the Hands-Free Cruise is no longer operational.

I've seen nowhere that an OnStar Connect Plus paid subscription (or over $700) would be required for the bulk of the three year trial subscription to Hands-Free Cruise. I have a case number in with Acura, and I wanted to see if anybody else encountered a similar issue and what they did about it.
