Just got the Vivosun VSFL3000 4 bar grow light

It's actually made for a 3x3, but it also works in the 4x2 with a bit of creative rigging. I am happy with how searingly bright it gets (3000w), and I was able to keep the giant brick of a power supply on top of the tent.

If you have this light, I'd love to know your experience with it in the long term.

I'm really limited in electrical sockets right now, so adding a humidfier isn't possible. But hanging a dampened towel in there with the fans blowing on it definitely brings things up to the right level in this 2x2! It dries within a few hours, and then I change it out. Also works in the grow tent during veg.

This is probably super obvious to everyone already, but if you're new to this and feeling you're having to spend money on a piece of equipment every 5 minutes, just know you can do a lot of climate control through passive/manual means, even in places that have extreme temperature swings like we do here in Ohio. I still have a Vivosun tent heater and inline duct fan in their boxes, because I have been able to get by without them so far while we figure out our power situation out in this garage. I also babysit my plants throughout the day because I can, so that helps.

I remember back when I thought I'd ruined this plant from overfeeding/watering around week 4 someone here telling me that I needed to just sit back and watch her stretch.

I want to thank that person (and everyone else who reminded me to be patient and trust the process). This plant has been nothing but surprises. This is grow #3 for me, and I have tried to implement the most of what I've learned so far with the previous two, especially with lollipoping and overall plant management.

This is living soil (BAS) that's been augmented with Grow Dots, Recharge, and cal-mag. I wish I'd done some LST on this one, but I'm still a weenie about it.

I'm not going to even think about chopping her for another 2 weeks (unless I get a consensus saying otherwise, because tbh the hardest apart of this goddamn hobby is still knowing when to chop).

I know she's not ready just yet. But it's day 77 for Ms Mildred, and I am kind of amazed at how fat these buds are getting. My spidey senses on when best to chop are still not there, but they are telling me (based on the still clear-ish looking trichomes I'm seeing) 2 more weeks.

What say you, growmies?
