George Strait at Moody Center Review (4/9/2026)
Saw George for the first time ever, and he was absolutely amazing. He played hit after hit and kept the energy high the entire night.
William Beckmann opened and did a great job. His set had a really good mix of songs, and my favorite was his cover of “Volver, Volver.” He started right at 7:30 pm and played until about 8:15 pm.
George came on around 8:45 and played until just before 11:00 pm. The setlist covered so much of his career and included a ton of fan favorites, including mine, “The Chair”.
The stage setup was great. It was a square stage, and he did two songs at each corner so people all around the center had a chance to see him up close.
He also came back out for an encore with the full band. Some people left early and definitely missed some really good songs.
Overall, amazing show. Highly recommend seeing him if you get the chance.
