Just got platinum on God of War at work.
So my weekend job and ps portal combo lets me get in so much more gaming than ever.
I have long spells of waiting around for customers so a hotspot from my phone, the portal and a coffee makes the time fly by.
I wasn’t sure how much I’d actually use it when I first got it, but for trophy hunting it’s kind of perfect. A lot of the grind in GoW is cleanup—collectibles, ravens, side quests, Muspelheim/Niflheim runs—and being able to just pick it up and chip away from the sofa, or in this case at work makes a massive difference.
Instead of needing to sit down at the main setup and commit to a full session, I’ve been doing quick 20–30 minute bursts. Clear a couple of ravens, knock out a realm tear, maybe finish a favour, then hop off. It adds up fast without feeling like a grind.
Also weirdly helps with the more repetitive bits—like Niflheim runs—because it feels more “casual” on the Portal. I’d probably get bored doing that at my desk, but handheld it just clicks.
I love this device.
