Hi everyone, I'm a student at King's College London. I'm finishing up my 2nd year of undergrad, and then I'll be starting my year abroad at Sciences Po. I'm still yet to find out which campus I'll be on (either Paris or Dijon), but I also worry about adjusting and integrating into life in France. First of all, French is my 4th out of 5 languages, and although my accent is not terrible at times you can definitely tell I'm foreign and French people will refuse to speak to me in French after they realise (it is mandatory all my classes at Sciences Po are in French only and I cannot take sport or other language classes as an extra credit option). I've also heard people at Sciences Po are not so friendly, especially towards exchange students, and I've even tried to find out if there are any people from my part of the world (the Balkans) at the uni and have only heard that they do not care to socialise or connect. I just wanted to ask, what have your experiences been like, either as a full-time student or on exchange- any tips/advice for me? If anyone else is on exchange or is at Sciences Po in general and can speak either English or Serbo-Croatian (or even Bulgarian), send me a message! It'll be my first time living alone and in a new country, so I'm eager not to be too isolated! Thanks in advance!
