A full armorial achievement I made for a client from Canada.

The idea was to make a rowel stylized resembling the star (it's just an artistic solution as it's not mentioned in the blazon the spur has a Magen David for a rowel).

Although I wanted it to be subtle at the same time I also didn't want it to merge with the main body of the spur.

Making it silver I killed to birds with one stone i.e. Blue and white - the colours of Israel (most of his family members who survived moved there after the war). However I made it silver not blue to complement the silver cross raguly of the shield of arms and one of his badges (the first one in the image attached).

full armorial achievement I made for a client from Canada.Badges. Both feature a mullet that is comprised of two equilateral triangles that again refers to his strong identification with his Jewish faith and heritage. Again Blue and white as a nod to colours of Israel.

Until quite recently I've been mostly making digital vector renditions of clients' existing arms. Now it's high time to showcase some blazons that I produced for clients who were after brand new designs.

While working on projects like this I ask clients to share thier own ideas first. They provide me with a list of elements that bears particular symbolism to them. Based on such list my job is to build a composition that is both heraldically correct and visually appealing.

Here you can see an emblazonment I made for a Canadian gentleman earlier this year.

The last name is Wintner which is a Jiddish word for vintner, which means winemaker or wine merchant. This led me to think that picking a tun as a charge could be a good idea.

An ordinary - 'a cross raguly Argent' - was implemented to symbolize those of his ancestors who were kept and then murdered in concentration camps in Europe during WWII.

Similar to the actual tool that is worn on a rider’s heel to urge the horse forward the spur in the crest symbolizes the client's idea of not forgeting to keep moving forward regardless of what obsticles are in the way.

It's always great pleasure to work with clients who give you full freedom when creating a concept for their arms.
