Apologies in advance as this is going to be all over the place.

The house next to us is a rental. Since we moved into our house, many families have come and gone and got along with all of them.

However, two years ago the current tenants moved in and I immediately had a sinking feeling that they wouldn't be great neighbours and my fears have been confirmed.

The first week they moved in they literally had trash everywhere in the front yard. To the point I had to call the company that picks up our garbage to let them know that everything belongs to that one house, not us, even though it was spilling over into our yard. I had to do this so our garbage would be picked up and not left behind.

When the weather got warmer, they would constantly throw their balls, toys etc into our backyard and ring our doorbell. At first it was like maybe 1-2 times a day. However, that turned into 3-5 times every hour very quickly. We spoke to the adults and kids and let them know we have a newborn and our cat is sick so if they could please not ring the doorbell and that we would return the items when we got a chance. The talking didn't work, they continued to harrass us. This only stopped when I reached out to the landlord. Since then they haven't spoken to us. So for two years we haven't been on speaking terms with these individuals.

Over the summer things escalated, they set off fireworks in their backyard which, for a lack of better words made my cat go psycho. We had to put him down not too shortly afterwards because he was randomly starting to attack our other cat and us. After the attacks he would just sit in a daze and be confused. At this point he was already on this medicine that I had to rub into his ear and he was a just a drooling zombie most days. So his quality of life was drastically reduced. After putting him down, I guess I fell into a sort of depression, i'm not sure. We also had to rehome our other cat cause he developed depression. He is doing much better now though. He is in a loving home and has another cat friend, but I still feel incredibly guilty for what happened with both my cats.

Also, the individuals trashy boyfriend likes to come here, get drunk and proceeds to shout at the top of his lungs. He also parks his giant pick up truck facing oncoming traffic. Whenever I hear that he is here, I start to get an uneasy feeling and think great, what is he going to do now.

I am 15 months post partum and im not sure if I blame the neighbouts for what happened to my cats or if my hormones are still out of whack but I don't know what to do anymore. I don't want to have to think about them constantly and monitor there movements. Its almost like I have some form of PTSD and I am just waiting for them to do something. Since they moved in we do have cameras set up to ensure they don't do anything. But I also find myself constantly monitoring them which i know is not healthy. I'm not sure what to do.

I was provided a copy of my land survey when I closed on the house. However, the numbers and legend aren't visible. Who should I be contacting to get a legible survey? The original survey company is still in business, would they be the best ones to contact? Thanks!
